Holiday Eating Tips

Fit Friends,

Here's the tips I received today.  These were taken straight from the
emails sent to me.   Thank y'all for the tips.

-Ok crazy remember to drink LOTS of H2O!!!

-My tip is not so much about healthy eating. Instead of taking a turkey nap, go
outside and take a walk or turn on some music and dance with your loved ones. Start
a  new holiday tradition and burn some of those Thanksgiving calories, just have fun
and get CREATIVE!!!!

-Heres a tip I like following on Thanksgiving, I try to eat as much white turkey meat
as possible since it is healthy and full of protein and fills me up, that way I will
eat a lot less sides and cut out as many carbs as I can.

-OK, I have thought about this and have come up with one everyone can use.
Wear a nice outfit, one that looks good and that you like.  Preferably one that fits
just
right.  It will make you more aware of what you are eating and how much.  Wearing
sloppy large clothes that don't fit are not the answer when a large meal is placed
in front of you.

Also fill your plate with low fat green veggies, white meat skinless turkey, and a
1/2 cup portion of 2 items you wish to splurge on.  Remember calorie allowances and
butter is not your friend.

Have a Happy Holiday!!!

30 Days/30 Ways
Fit Friends,

Day 23:  Hang in there and keep tapping away at your healthy goals.

"Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the
visible" - Anthony Robbins

Here's a creative way that one of my clients uses to get in shape at work.

"Challenges like how do I exercise when I work all day long? Well, let's
get creative. In my office I work downstairs and my co-workers and
executive director work upstairs. When I have a question I can always call
their extension. However, I thought to myself, why not just walk upstairs
and ask face to face? It does 2 things for me, one, I get to know my
co-workers, greet them, smile, etc. The second thing it does is give me a
little work out each time I go up and down those stairs. For me it is
especially great because it works out my knee that I injured a year ago
and helps rehab it more. So, how can you get creative
where you work? Really think about it and try to make your own little work
out."

Thanks Rob, for sharing.

Have a wonderful day,

Mike
