Sprint Ladders

We finished our seven week Sprint Ladders today and all three of us are in better shape for it.  Personally, I feel more conditioned.  My muscularity increased, a little from muscle growth, but more due to lower body fat percentage.  Next week we start Outdoor Power Training...it's on!

Gotta go eat.  Home cooked Salmon with Green Beans and a small Yam...mmmm, till next time.

Make your decisions count.

Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.

Making it happen starts with the power of the mind.  The power of the Decision.  Do not take decisions lightly.  Make each decision count by making each decision happen.  Every decision we make shapes us.  Especially with regards to health and weight loss. 

Today, if you decide to eat healthier and exercise more, make it happen.  As soon as you say in your head, "I will eat healthier and exercise more".  Take action! 

Take action by taking that decision seriously.

*Attach something personal to that decision to really heighten the importance of your decision.  Personally I want to have a long life with my wife.  I know that eating healthier and exercising will increase my odds.  

*Do not attempt everything at once.  You can't build a house in one day and expect it to stay standing. 

*Have a plan of action.  An important decision, like building a house, takes a plan.

*Take responsibility for your decisions.  If something does not go as planned do not play the blame game.  This only breeds excuses and can eventually derail your goal.  Accept it, get up, dust off, and try again. 

Exercise does not mean hitting the gym for hours on end or doing the latest craze in fitness.  These things and simply walking more or taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator have one thing in common.  They burn calories.
