Something is Better Than Nothing
"Something is better than nothing." Some days we get home mentally and physically beat. All we want
to do is drop where we are standing. I understand this all too well. Here's what I do to get my exercise in.
Find short High Intensity workouts. These workouts are efficient and allow you time for other things.
The fat burning payoff is awesome.
Schedule your workouts into your daily planner. This makes them
seem like just another part of your day. After you're done, you can then rest for the day.
If you normally
have a long or heavy workout, lighten the weight you use or take a piece of the routine out of the workout.
If you just can't make it to the gym or whatever you do for exercise, eat the healthiest meal ever and rest. Rest
is very important to physical fitness, but use this time to recharge and pick up where you left off the next day.
These are just a few things that I practice with much success. Send me some of your ideas and I'll post them on
future entries.
Much success!

Simple Tips for toned calves
Rent or buy a basic Ballet exercise DVD. I checked out the New City Ballet Video Workout video from my local Library
and I have to tell you the leg exercises are easy to learn, and really work. Use the stairs instead of the elevator,
and do a calve raise on each one. Do this every time you use the stairs and you will definitely see a difference. Jump
rope. This not only builds the legs it also builds cardio and running endurance. These are just some of the things
that I have been doing with much success. There are tons of other exercises, but these are some basic tips that get
results. Train smart and be creative!

Field Trip
The Bootcamp hit the road to Lockhart, TX. The Lockhart High School practice field is awesome. It is flat for
sprints, bear crawls, crab walks, etc. and there are three big tires for pushing, pulling and flipping. There is also
an adjacent outdoor exercise course with parallel bars, chin up bars, a balance beam and various other obstacles. Mick
and Jess finished strong and then unleashed a hardcore full body workout on me. They have worked hard for five weeks
so as a reward they were given the reigns to run me through the gauntlet. They are tough!

"The one thing that matters is the effort." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery, French pilot, author Someone sent me this quote in an email today and this is one I needed to share. We say we want something
in life but do we really always put forth the effort to get it. What if we thought
about something and then acted upon it every time. For example when you say to yourself, "I'm hungry."
Most of us immediately act upon it. A few minutes later our hunger is satisfied. We act upon it every time with
success. If we acted upon all of our wants, to dos, and haves with a little effort
we could satisfy these things as well. Are you hungry for something right now? Think it, and truly put forth the
effort and you will surely be satisfied. I'm going to put up a running list below this entry with our reader's wants, to dos
and haves. This is the first step, make an
effort, put it out there. Email me and I'll post it here. You can remain anonymous. Just indicate anonymous in your email. I'll start it. I want to grow Mike's Creative Fitness beyond my wildest dreams, and I will put forth the effort to accomplish
this! I want to be a self-supporting artist. I
will put all my energy into this and give it the greatest effort possible!!! I also want to eat better and
learn to cook healthier meals. I will put forth effort by seeking out healthier recipes. Daisy

Tonight's Dinner
Friends and family are always asking us how to lose weight, and what we eat. Here's a pic of tonight's dinner.
Greek Shrimp over Couscous with a salad. Make more healthy meals at home and you will be well on your way to weight
loss and abs if you really want it.
